Kolding Protein Blending Unit (Denmark)
This plant producing protein/vitamin/mineral additives and protein concentrates was founded in 1998 in Kolding, Denmark. It was acquired by Sodrugestvo in 2003.
It focuses on supplying high-quality PMV blends to the pet-food industry.
The production technology provides for the following:
- removal of non-feed and metal impurities from incoming raw materials;
- grinding raw materials to required specification;
- accurate dosage of the components with the use of strain gage sensors, with the weighing tolerance within 0.1%;
- use of mixers securing high levels of product homogeneity;
- simultaneous adding and mixing of up to 10 components;
- packaging products in 25 and 50 kg big bags;
- bulk loading in railcars, special trucks, directly on board the ship or containers.
The ship loading speed is about 60-80 tons/hr. It is possible to receive/dispatch vessels with the capacity of up to 15,000 metric tons.
