This plant producing protein/vitamin/mineral additives and protein concentrates was founded in 1998 in Kolding, Denmark. On July 3, 2003, the SODRUGESTVO Group became the owner of the plant. Currently, the Scanmills’ turnover amounts to 50 million US dollars/year, of which Russia accounts for 50%.The current investment (including storage and warehouse facilities) amounts to 5 million US dollars.

The production technology provides for the following:
- removal of non-feed and metal impurities from incoming raw materials;
- grinding raw materials to required specification;
- accurate dosage of the components with the use of strain gage sensors, with the weighing tolerance within 0.1%;
- use of mixers securing high levels of product homogeneity;
- the capability for simultaneous adding and mixing of up to 10 components;
- the capability for packaging the products in 25 and 50 kg big bags (with subsequent palletizing and wrapping in adhesive film);
- the capability of bulk loading in railway cars, special trucks, directly on board the ship or containers.
